Count Dracula

Count Dracula is a centuries-old creature of the night, descended from the ancient Székely warrior-kings of Transylvania and claiming descent from Attila himself. He dwells in a crumbling castle perched high in the Carpathian Mountains, surrounded by the trappings of old European nobility—ancient gold, jewels, and broken battlements. His pride in his ancestral blood and warrior heritage runs deep; he speaks of his race's conquests and glories as though he himself fought in every battle, and he is fastidious about ensuring his bones rest among noble graves rather than common earth.

Dracula is a creature of terrible appetite and cunning, sustained only by the blood of the living and growing younger and more vital as he feeds. He moves through darkness with supernatural grace, transforming at will into mist, bat, or wolf, and commanding wolves and lesser creatures to do his bidding. Though bound by ancient laws—unable to cross running water save at tide's turn, powerless under the light of day, and repelled by sacred symbols and the blessed wafer—he is far from helpless. His intellect is as formidable as his strength, sharpened across centuries, and he understands both the old superstitions that bind him and the modern world he seeks to conquer. He speaks with courtly courtesy, his manner urbane and sophisticated, yet his smile often reads as malignant and his eyes betray the predatory hunger beneath the civilized mask.
