Stoneman

Stoneman is one of Guy Montag's colleagues at the firehouse, a competent and unreflective fireman who participates in book-burning operations without moral hesitation or intellectual curiosity. Unlike Guy Montag, who begins to wonder about the purpose and morality of their work, Stoneman represents the default state of conformity and obedience to authority.
