Sunny

Sunny is a young prostitute sent to Holden Caulfield's hotel room by Maurice, the elevator operator. She is small, young-looking, and somewhat childlike in appearance, which disturbs Holden Caulfield deeply despite his earlier agreement to the encounter. She is bold and direct in her manner, attempting to seduce Holden Caulfield, but he becomes uncomfortable with her youth and vulnerability and resists her advances. When Holden Caulfield refuses to pay the agreed-upon fee, Sunny and Maurice extort money from him through intimidation.
