Character · The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

Flora Millar

Flora Millar is a former music hall performer at the Allegro who has maintained a close relationship with Lord St. Lord Robert St. Simon for several years. Described by him as "a dear little thing, but exceedingly hot-headed and devotedly attached" to him, Flora's world is upended when she learns of his sudden marriage to the wealthy Miss Hatty Doran. Her emotional attachment transforms into desperate action—she appears at Mr. Doran's house on the morning of the wedding, making "dreadful letters" and "very abusive expressions" before being removed by plainclothes police. Later that same day, she is seen walking with the bride herself in Hyde Park, leading Scotland Yard to suspect she may have orchestrated some scheme against the new Lady St. Lord Robert St. Simon. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson must unravel whether Flora is a jealous woman seeking revenge or an unwitting accomplice in a far more complex mystery.
