Cathy Ames

Caleb and Aron Trask
Adam and Cathy's twin sons, raised on the ranch after Cathy leaves. Caleb (often called Cal) is dark-haired, restless, and hungry for his father's approval. Aron is fair-haired, gentle, and seems to win affection without trying — which makes the brothers' dynamic one of the novel's central tensions.

Charles Trask
